I always have cheeses left over from the festive activities – usually a big piece of Stilton! Although you can freeze it I always try and use up as much as possible. This light supper dish is perfect after all the heavy food we’ve been eating even though it’s got a good serving of cheese in it!

Although January can be a cold month, it’s a good time to finish any winter maintenance around the garden, especially on sunny days. Now that the days are gradually starting to lengthen it’s a good time to plan ahead in your garden and decide what you would like to grow this year. And of course you need to plan your visit to the Southport Flower Show in August. Festive Winter Coleslaw
