Four local authorities are taking part in this year's competition which will showcase their expertise, highlight the talents of their parks and gardening teams as well as promoting their region from a tourism perspective.
We would like to thank S&G Flowers for sponsoring this competition for the second year running, highlighting their commitment to both horticulture and the development of Southport Flower Show.
We believe that this area will create a lot of excitement and enjoyment for future shows and hope that with your support we can build and develop this competition for the future!

A celebration of Tameside's brass band heritage. Tameside is home to the oldest brass band in the world (Stalybridge Old Band Est 1807). Elements include the colours of the nine senior bands operating in Tameside today and a representation of the regeneration of local bandstands.
The planting is yellow through red, Chorley's corporate colours, surrounding organ pipes representing music and places of worship in the Borough. The bed is framed with red antirrhinum and planted to give the impression of herbaceous planting using annuals.
From the days of the old windup gramophones to today's CD's, MP3's and I-Pods the sounds they produce has always conjured up a plethora of colourful tones to the ear.
A celebration of the most popular band in history, the Beatles. The road takes you on a journey from Sergent Pepper through to Strawberry Fields, using planting to reflect the colourful music they brought to us.
